Sympaticocious

Artist featured on Locals Stage sponsored by Salisbury University and the Fulton School of Liberal Arts at Salisbury University.
Are you looking for music that makes you feel good; that lifts your spirits without sounding trite or condescending; that feels real, makes you think and has you wanting to hear more? If so, you have entered the realm of SYMPATICOCIOUS, where justice, peace, empathy, acceptance, diversity and joy rule. Band members met in 2022, and shortly thereafter, began writing and playing music together.
Sympaticocious is comprised of Mikel Campbell on bass, bouzouki and vocals, and Ron Pagano on drums and vocals, each with decades of varied musical experience, hailing from the Eastern Shore of Maryland and New York City!
More than anything else, they inspire diversity, courage, spirit, love and acceptance, in a world that could use more of each. Whether adding their own accents to a cover or creating originals that blend lyrics and melodies that have been described by one fan as “mesmerizing” and another, as “meaningful” they stand in wonder at how lucky they were to connect with each other and their fans.
Sympaticocious is known for their eclectic incorporation of rock, R&B, country, folk, reggae, jazz and blues, creating songs that range from soft and intimate (“Saying Your Prayers” and “Clumsy Hearts”), to more emotional themes that we face in the world right now (“Ukraine” and “Love Is the Answer”). Originality and diversity are at the core of their music! They care about the world around them and create music that speaks to your heart!
